5/7/20 Relaxing Government restrictions allow the Church of England to produce guidelines for limited services in Church. St. Matthews will be open again today.
17/6/20 The church will now be open for private prayer on Weekday mornings, Thursday Evening and Sunday afternoon by Appointment.

Clergy are being advised not to share the chalice and to encourage worshippers not to shake hands during the ‘Sign of the Peace’ in services, as part of updated guidance on coronavirus issued by the Church of England. Don was a leading member of the church, particularly in Music before emigrated to Australia with his wife Erica in 2001. 5/05/2019 Last weeks AGM was well attended. David Gadd stood down as Churchwarden after long and successful service, and a new Churchwarden, Janet Cook, was elected. A new PCC was also elected.
